1. Aims and Scope
Journal of Seismic Exploration (JSE) is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal that aims to accelerate the development of smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable seismic solutions for energy, mineral, engineering, fluid, environmental, and planetary exploration.
The journal covers the full spectrum of seismic exploration, embracing both active- and passive-source methodologies across onshore, marine, borehole, and near-surface environments. Application domains include petroleum geology, reservoir characterization, unconventional resource assessment, geothermal exploration, coal and mineral prospecting, fluid investigations, engineering and environmental studies, as well as carbon storage monitoring and hazard assessment. The journal also encourages interdisciplinary studies of seismic exploration and other disciplines, such as high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, rock physics, geomechanics, and planetary sciences.
2. Ownership
Journal of Seismic Exploration is owned by Accscience Publishing, with academic support from State Key Laboratory of Fine Exploration and Intelligent Development of Coal Resources.
3. Publishing Model
Gold open access. All articles published by JSE are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately from the date of publication. For further information, please refer to Open Access Policy.
